Dr Liam Mc Niffe,

Dear Student’s, Parents/Guardians,
Saint Patrick’s College, Cavan offers an education in three main areas: academic, extra curricular and character forming. Each student deserves to achieve the best possible results of which he is capable, irrespective of ability. The College places great emphasis on academic achievement. Students are very well catered for with a wide range of extra curricular activities including sports.
As a Catholic secondary school, we see character formation as central to the education we provide. We hope that young men leaving our College will have a keen sense of justice, be self confident, responsible and will live by their religious beliefs.
We want students to be happy and feel safe. A mentoring system, whereby Leaving Certificate students help First Years, ensures they are settling in.
The anti-bullying ‘Cool School Programme’ is in place to ensure that St Pat’s is a safe place for all.
The College believes in partnership between students, parents and staff. we give students responsibility through the Student Council and the Prefect system. as a College we welcome parental involvement with Parents/Guardians actively involved through the Board of Management and the Parents' association.

Dr Liam Mc Niffe,
Principal.
