The St Patrick's College, Cavan class of 1960-1965 met formally for the first time in 41 years at a re-union on Saturday, April 22nd. Members of the year assembled in the college during the afternoon. They retraced their steps around the school, visiting the classrooms, their dormitories and the Infirmary. They were particularly interested in a display of photographs of college life in the sixties. Following refreshments, the past pupils attended a Memorial Mass in the refurbished College Chapel for the deceased members of the class - Fr Seamus Gilroy, Benedict Bennett, joe Galligan, Jim Brady and Liam Baxter. The mass was celebrated by Fr Oliver Kelly. The final part of the re-union took place in The Cavan Crystal Hotel, Dublin Road, Cavan. Former teachers who attended were Fr Benny Maguire, Fr Pat Brady, Tommy Mc Tiernan, Fr Felim Mc Govern, Jim Mc Donnell, Jim Burns and Ray Walsh.
